Do Pal

"Do Pal" is famous song from the Bollywood film Veer-Zaara.The music was composed by the Late Madan Mohan and recreated by his own son Sanjeev Kohli and is sung by Sonu Nigam and Lata Mangeshkar.

Although the song is a one whole complete song in the movie it is broken into two parts and each come during different situations. The similarity as that both songs come at a time when Veer and Zaara are about to separate.
This video is firstly set at a train station and is then set in a mosque in Pakistan. The first part of the song comes when Veer (Shahrukh Khan) brings Zaara (Preity Zinta) to the station and she walks away to re-unite with her fiance Raza (Manoj Bajpai). Whilst Veer and Zaara separate they see each other singing to them. There is a brief gap when we are taken to the present day and see Saamiya Saddiqui (Rani Mukerji) leaving the ageing Veer.
The song then returns to the previous situation in which Veer and Zaara finally bid farewell to each other. The second part of the song comes when Veer convinces Zaara to marry the man her parents chose, Raza. The couple bid farewell to each other for the second time.

Do, pal ruka, khwaabon ka kaarvaan
Aur phir, chal diye, tum kahaan, ham kahaan
Do pal ki thi, ye dilon ki daastaan
Aur phir, chal diye, tum kahaan, ham kahaan
Aur phir chal diye, tum kahaan, ham kahaan

Tum the ke thi koyi ujli kiran
Tum the ya koyi kali muskaayi thi
Tum the ya tha sapnon ka tha saawan
Tum the ke khushiyon ki ghata chhaayi thi
Tum the ke tha koyi phool khila
Tum the ya mila tha mujhe naya jahaan
Do pal ruka khwaabon ka kaarvaan
Aur phir chal diye tum kahaan ham kahaan
Do pal ki thi, ye dilon ki daastaan
Aur phir chal diye, tum kahaan, ham kahaan
Aur phir chal diye, tum kahaan, ham kahaan

Aa... aa... aa...

Tum the aa khushboo hawaaon mein thi
Tum the ya rang saari dishaaon mein the
Tum the ya roshni raahon mein thi
Tum the ya geet goonje fizaaon mein the
Tum the mile ya mili thi manzilein
Tum the ke tha jaadoo bhara koyi sama
Do pal ruka, khwaabon ka kaarvaan
Aur phir chal diye, tum kahaan, ham kahaan
Do pal ki thi, ye dilon ki daastaan
Aur phir chal diye, tum kahaan, ham kahaan
Aur phir chal diye, tum kahaan, ham kahaan
Aur phir chal diye, tum kahaan, ham kahaan

Tere liye, ham hain jiye, honton ko siye
Tere liye, ham hain jiye, har aansoo piye
Dil mein magar, jalte rahe, chaahat ke diye
Tere liye, tere liye
Tere liye, ham hain jiye, har aansoo piye
Tere liye, ham hain jiye, honton ko siye
Dil mein magar, jalte rahe, chaahat ke diye
Tere liye, tere liye

Aa......
Zindagi, le ke aayi hai, beete dinon ki kitaab -2
Ghere hain, ab hamein, yaadein be-hisaab
Bin poochhe, mile mujhe, kitne saare jawaab
Chaaha tha kya, paaya hai kya, hamne dekhiye
Dil mein magar, jalte rahe, chaahat ke diye
Tere liye, tere liye

Kya kahoon, duniya ne kiya, mujh se kaisa bair -2
Hukam tha, main jiyun, lekin tere baghair
Naadaan hai woh, kehte hain jo, mere liye tum ho ghair
Kitne sitam, hampe sanam, logon ne kiye
Dil mein magar, jalte rahe, chaahat ke diye
Tere liye, tere liye
Tere liye, ham hain jiye, honton ko siye
Tere liye, ham hain jiye, har aansoo piye
Dil mein magar, jalte rahe, chaahat ke diye
Tere liye, tere liye
Tere liye -4
